I come into a lot of these "I did x to learn y" articles with generally low expectations. I don't usually expect to read something refreshing, well written, and captivating, so when I read this I got a nice shock.

I probably won't be going to content mills anytime soon, but honestly, the best attitude to have when we go into one of those things is exactly the point you've made - make sure you know what you're in for and make sure you know what the other is there for too.

If your goals are clear then you'll be able to make something that can be a shitty experience and turn it into a learning experience or somethin like that.
